Program Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate safe and sanitary food handling practices as stipulated in ServSafe
  2. Demonstrate the basic fundamentals of cooking and baking for a professional kitchen
  3. Interpret professional recipes and execute conversion ratios on ingredients
  4. Apply leadership skills to a variety of hospitality industry operations
  5. Describe how various organizational elements work together to promote the successful delivery of service
  6. Apply the appropriate practices for hiring, training and managing service professionals in the hospitality industry
  7. Describe the principle laws and regulations pertaining to running a successful hospitality industry operation
