Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe and sanitary food handling practices as stipulated in ServSafe
- Demonstrate the basic fundamentals of cooking and baking for a professional kitchen
- Interpret professional recipes and execute conversion ratios on ingredients
- Apply leadership skills to a variety of hospitality industry operations
- Describe how various organizational elements work together to promote the successful delivery of service
- Apply the appropriate practices for hiring, training and managing service professionals in the hospitality industry
- Describe the principle laws and regulations pertaining to running a successful hospitality industry operation
