Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an accurate and faithful translation in the target text.
2. Demonstrate the ability to render consecutive interpretation.
3. Demonstrate the ability to preform sight translations with little or no preparation.
4. Demonstrate the ability to interpret simultaneously.
5. Demonstrate accuracy in translation/interpretation at all lingustic levels (phomenic, morphological, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic).
6. Differentiate between interpretation and translation and the basic skills needed for translation and interpretation.
