Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:

1. Perform venipuncture (blood draws) and obtain other specimens from patients

2. Evaluate patient’s ability to withstand procedure(s)

3. Explain the venipuncture (blood draw) procedure to patients and answer questions

4. Maintain medical equipment such as all types of needles, blood collection vials and other laboratory specimen collecting equipment
