Theoretical application of fundamentals of chemistry in a clinical setting. Includes discussion of chemical substances, instruments, laboratory procedures, blood and urine chemistry abnormalities, and laboratory instrument computers and information systems.
Prerequisite(s): With a grade of B or better: BIO 205IN , and MAT 151 or assessment into MAT 189 . Corequisite(s): MLT 285LB Information: Students must be admitted to the Medical Laboratory Technician program or obtain consent of instructor before enrolling in this course.
