SGT 201 - Surgical Technology III 3 Credits, 3 Contact Hours 3 lecture periods 0 lab periods Didactic instruction on surgical procedures including a review of the operating room and surgery. Includes safety, specific cases and the disease process, care of the patient and perioperative case management, needs assessment for pre-operative cases and safety, asepsis, intraoperative procedures and safety, post-operative care and patient safety, procedures, and ethical and moral issues.

Course Learning Outcomes
