Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:
- Describe how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical domains.
- Apply understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards.
- Create safe, respectful, culturally responsive learning environments to support learning, positive social interaction, active engagement, self-motivation, emotional well being, and self-determination.
- Use knowledge of general and specialized curricula to create meaningful, accessible learning experiences, inform instructional decisions, and ensure content mastery for diverse learners.
- Promote metacognition, self-regulated learning, engagement, critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving using relevant content, divergent perspectives, and technological tools.
- Utilize multiple methods of assessment and data sources to guide educational decisions, monitor learner progress, and engage learners in goal setting and analyzing their own growth.

This Program is a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education leading to dual Arizona Department of Education K12 Teacher Certification in Elementary and Mild-Moderate Disabilities (Special Education).
This degree includes the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC)
Note: Students must complete a minimum of 120 Credits and all program requirements to graduate.
