Industrial Service Technician Achievement

This program provides: Occupational Safety and Health Act-10 (OSHA 10), a practical introduction to fluid power systems, mechanical drive systems and power transmission, DC and AC component fundamentals, electrical motor control systems, industrial metrology tools and print/schematic reading and symbology. This program prepares learners for technical-level positions in mechatronics, automation in manufacturing, and industrial maintenance.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of safety standards and practices in the maintenance of industrial equipment.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  3. Correct installation of an electronic motor assembly.
  4. Describe how and why electrical controls and pneumatics can be used to implement logic functions.
  5. Apply various types of prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams used in manufacturing.
