				EMTs are medical professionals who provide emergency care to people who are far away from a hospital or on their way to one. Become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and apply skills in a rewarding occupation of quick, efficient patient care assisting in life-threatening situations. 
Program learning outcomes 
Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to: 
	- Appropriately manage scene safety including proper placement and removal of personal protective gear in the workplace.
 
	- Define priorities of care and the components of a tiered response system.
 
	- Define the role, scope of practice: Legal and ethical responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician.
 
	- Perform and appropriately manage and stabilize patients of all ages suffering from airway obstructions, respiratory arrests, and cardiac arrests.
 
	- Perform and appropriately manage and stabilize patients of all ages suffering from bleeding, soft tissue injuries, burns, fractures, shock, and nervous system injuries.
