Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of industry standards and safety practices.
- Demonstrate professionalism with attitudes, conduct, ethics, and work practices.
- Describe the history of the carpentry trade and the importance of safety in the construction industry.
- Explain the terms commonly used in discussing wood and lumber and the different types of fasteners and adhesives.
- Demonstrate the proper use of hand, portable power, and stationary power tools.
- Describe all the components of project management.
- Develop an estimate for a construction job.
- Determine the environmental and safety considerations for construction work.
