Options Requirements: 6 Credits


Options: Includes additional courses approved for subject area or special requirements which enhance the AGEC and expand the preparation of students prior to transfer.

The six credits can be from the Options categories listed below from each of these categories with the maximum number of additional credits indicated.

  • Humanities & Fine Arts - up to 3 additional credits
  • Social and Behavioral Sciences - up to 3 additional credits
  • Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences - up to 6 additional credits
  • Mathematics - up to 6 additional credits

AGEC Special Requirements


Students are required to take courses that meet each of the following:

  • Intensive Writing and Critical Inquiry (I) - at least one course after the completion of one semester of the English Composition requirement shall involve the development of competence in written discourse and involve the gathering, interpretation, and evaluation of evidence.

  • Ethnic/Race/Gender/Class awareness (C)

  • Contemporary global/international awareness or historical awareness (G)

 

AGEC special requirements can be completed in one, two or three courses. Choose required courses, above, so that these special requirements are met. See an advisor or counselor for help in selecting courses.
