USTU 100 - College Success and Career Planning Theoretical models of cognition, motivation, and human development serve as the conceptual basis for the introduction of academic and career development strategies. Includes an introduction to the factors that impact learning, goal persistence, self-efficacy, and communication, which will foster the integration of relevant knowledge and skills. Also includes the use of assessment instruments (e.g., learning and career inventories) to identify students’ strengths and challenges, and the application of skills to their academic and career development processes.
