UBCT 172 - Electrical I Concepts and procedures for building and construction electrical training. Includes safety, conduit bending, electrical theory, test equipment, National Electric Code, aceways, boxes, and fittings, print reading, and wiring applications.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Describe electrical safety procedures on the job site.
- Perform conduit bending requirements.
- Demonstrate the use of anchors and supports.
- Describe the use of electrical theory, including Ohm’s law series and parallel circuits for direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC).
- Demonstrate the use of electrical test equipment.
- Discuss the layout and types of information found in the National Electric Code (NEC).
