FDC 215 - Sewing with Knits 3 Credits, 5 Contact Hours 2 lecture periods 3 lab periods
Skills and techniques used in the construction of garments made from knit fabrics. Includes pattern selection, fabric selection, tools and equipment, pattern fit and alteration; layout, cutting, and marking; and construction techniques.
Prerequisite(s): FDC 111 with a B or better. Recommendation: Completion of FDC 211 with a grade of B or better before enrolling in this course. If any recommended course is taken, see a financial aid or Veteran’s Affairs advisor to determine funding eligibility as appropriate. Information: Prerequisite may be waived with consent of instructor.

- Fit and alter a pattern for a knit garment.
