RAD 173LC - Clinical Education I 6 Credits, 24 Contact Hours (24 lab)
Introduction to the first clinical practicum. Includes clinical site orientation, radiographic equipment and supplies, exam protocols, and routine and special radiographic examinations.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 201IN , RAD 170 and RAD 170LB . Corequisite(s): RAD 171 , RAD 171LB , RAD 172 , RAD 172LB Information: Clinical Education Centers may require additional fees and a tuberculosis skin test. Students must be admitted to RAD program before enrolling in this course. Competency-based assignments, concepts of patient-centered clinical practice and professional development shall be discussed, examined, performed and evaluated under the supervision of a certified Radiologic Technologist. The clinical practicum incorporates critical analysis, integration, synthesis and evaluation of concepts and theories in the performance of radiographic procedures.
