CSA 104 - Computer Fundamentals 3 Credits, 4 Contact Hours (2 lec., 2 lab)
Introduction to computer information systems. Includes hardware, system software, networks, and threats posed by malicious software and web sites. Also includes the social and economic effects of information, using the Internet to do research, and productivity application software.
Recommendation: Completion of CSA 089 or basic computer and keyboard skills, completion of REA 091 or satisfactory score on the reading assessment test before enrolling in this course. If any recommended course is taken, see a financial aid or Veteran’s Affairs advisor to determine funding eligibility as appropriate. Information: Same as CIS 104 .
