ACC 181 - QuickBooks Computerized Accounting I 3 Contact Hours, 3 Credits 3 lecture periods 0 lab periods
Comprehensive dual foundation in essential bookkeeping principles and practical application using QuickBooks Online (QBO) software. Includes the use of QBO for managing customer and vendor accounts, cash transactions, and basic merchandising inventory. Also includes the basics of accounting essentials, covering the full accounting cycle: analyzing transactions, journalizing, preparing T-accounts, adjusting entries, financial statements, and closing entries. Includes core conceptual knowledge and the practical skills required for success on the Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional Exam.
Recommendation: Have taken ACC 105 or ACC 211 (or concurrent enrollment). If any recommended course is taken, see a financial aid or Veteran’s Affairs advisor to determine funding eligibility as appropriate.

- Interpret basic financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet) generated by both manual methods and QBO reports.
