UBCT 041 - NC3 Workshop Series: RIDGID Plumbing, HVAC, and Pipefitting 30 Noncredit Contact Hours

This comprehensive, hands-on workshop provides professional-level training in plumbing, HVAC, and pipefitting. Learners will develop technical proficiency in advanced pipe joining, diagnostic, and maintenance technologies essential for modern fluid systems. This workshop prepares learners to earn five NC3 RIDGID certifications, providing proof of skills for careers in residential and commercial plumbing, building maintenance, HVAC/R, and the construction trades. This course is designed for learners who have completed Building Construction & Trades PimaFastTrack, are in a BCT Program of Study, or are industry professionals seeking to upskill.
Recommendation: Experience in the Plumbing or Facilities Maintenance industry, completion of a Building and Construction Plumbing FastTrack, or a combination of BCT105, BCT107, and BCT181.
Information: Learners must earn at least 4 of 5 certifications to pass this course successfully.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the safe operation and maintenance of professional threading equipment to accurately cut, ream, and thread steel pipe and conduit.
- Demonstrate the use of manual and powered roll grooving equipment to fabricate fluid-tight connections for fire protection and HVAC circuit
- Demonstrate the proper use of battery-powered press tools to join copper, stainless steel, and PEX tubing in the fabrication of fluid circuits.
- Demonstrate proficiency in locating sonde signals with precision to identify specific areas within a drain system for focused diagnostics
- Identify diverse drainage issues and select the appropriate professional cleaning method, such as drum machines or FlexShaft technology, to safely clear blockages
