FDC 212 - Tailoring

5 Contact Hours, 3 Credits
2 lecture periods 3 lab periods


Traditional and speed-tailoring methods for jackets, shirts, and pants utilizing advanced techniques and materials. Option One: includes pattern alterations for jackets, buttonholes, welt pockets, shaping the interfacing, inner structure of jackets, and complete garment evaluation. Option Two:  includes pant construction, shirt construction, and completed garment evaluation.

Prerequisite(s): FDC 211  with a grade of B or better.
Information: Prerequisite may be waived with consent of instructor.

  2. Construct tailored garments using advanced construction tailoring techniques as outlined in this course.
