WRT 162 - Literary Magazine Workshop 3 Credits, 3 Contact Hours 3 lecture periods 0 lab periods
Creative magazine publication. Includes review of college literary magazines, critical review, magazine design and editing, magazine production techniques, as well as printing and distribution.
Information: May be taken two times for a maximum of six credit hours. If this course is repeated, see a financial aid or Veteran’s Affairs advisor to determine funding eligibility as appropriate.
Course Learning Outcomes

- Discuss elements of critical review.
- Develop a critique to judge literary materials.
- Describe design, layout, and editing procedures.
- Develop a critique to judge visual art materials
- Print finished magazine copy.
- Distribute the magazine to the campus community.
- Demonstrate digital literacy through reading texts online, creating web/blog posts, or analyzing material in an online literary magazine/journal.
